In Latin, \u201cJ\u201d sounds the same as English \u201cY\u201d.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">His son\u2019s name<\/span> \u201cJesus\u201d as known by many today came along only about four hundred years ago in the 17th century AD in English translation bibles. \u201cJesus\u201d derived from I\u0113sous (\u1f38\u03b7\u03c3\u03bf\u1fe6\u03c2; Iesus in Classical Latin) the Ancient Greek form of the Hebrew name <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05e9\u05e2<\/span> Yehoshua (meaning; Yehovah saves, Yehovah is my salvation), <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05e9\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yeshua is the shorter variant of Yehoshua.<\/p><p>Shorter variant is like;\u00a0 <br \/>Ben is the shorter variant of Benjamin, Hebrew name Ben&#8217;yamin (<span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d1\u05e0\u05d9\u05de\u05d9\u05df<\/span>). <br \/>Dan is the shorter variant of Daniel, Hebrew name Dani&#8217;el (<span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9\u05d0\u05dc<\/span>).<\/p><p>The Hebrew name of another biblical character \u201cJoshua\u201d also is <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05e9\u05e2<\/span> Yehoshua. It is interesting to take note that the same Hebrew name is called differently as Joshua and Jesus by bible translators of early days, and we just follow that inconsistency to this day.\u00a0<\/p><p>There are many names in the Bible that begin with the name of God. <br \/>Let\u2019s look at those names, Hebrew is written from right to left, please pay attention to the first three letters ( <span style=\"color: #993366; font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5<\/span> ) from right to left.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5<\/span>\u05d4<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yehovah (name of God) <br \/><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yehovah ends with \u201cVah\u201d sound, not \u201cVeh\u201d or \u201cWeh\u201d as some might suggest.<\/p><p>In English translation bibles you won\u2019t find the proper and sacred name of God\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yehovah, because it is replaced with \u201cthe Lord&#8221; or \u201cthe LORD\u201d. Also, other common nouns like\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9<\/span> (Adonai; meaning lord, boss, master) and\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d4\u05e9\u05dd<\/span> (HaShem; meaning \u201cThe Name\u201d) are used to refer to God in place of the real name of God in various talks and discussions. Those are NOT biblical, but man made substitute names given to God by man.<\/p><p>Imagine, you ask; \u201cWhat is the name of God?\u201d.\u00a0 <br \/>Someone answers; \u201cThe name of God is The Name\u201d, <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d4\u05e9\u05dd<\/span> (HaShem). <br \/>Another one answers; \u201cThe name of God is Boss\u201d, <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9<\/span> (Adonai).<\/p><p>How about another name that we often see and hear; YHWH? <br \/>The Bible is given and written in Hebrew and in Greek, YHWH is in English, thus, whatever pronunciation comes out of it is obviously not biblical either. Besides, there is no \u201cW\u201d sound in the Hebrew alphabet.<\/p><p>Name of God\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yehovah appears in the original Hebrew scriptures nearly 7,000 times, starting in Genesis 2:4 until Malachi 4:5, but we find none in the bible translations that we read, because it is replaced with a common noun &#8220;the Lord&#8221;, &#8220;Lord&#8221; is an old English form of &#8220;boss&#8221; in modern day English.<\/p><p>While God himself said very clearly that His eternal name\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yehovah is to be remembered from generation to generation, man (mankind) hid it, concealed it, buried it for centuries, from generation to generation.<\/p><p>Why?\u00a0 Disobedience of man as usual, or influenced by the devil? <br \/>I shall leave it to you to determine.<\/p><p>In summary;<\/p><p>God identified Himself as \u201cthe God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob\u201d. <br \/>God said that His name is\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/span> Yehovah, His eternal name, the name to remember from generation to generation. <br \/>His son\u2019s name is;\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05e9\u05e2<\/span> Yehoshua (OR)\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u05d9\u05e9\u05d5<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 18.6667px;\">\u05e2<\/span>\u00a0Yeshua in shorter variant of Yehoshua.
